It has been a while since I joined Aboriginal Journeys on a boat tour circumnavigation of Quadra Island but it left a stong impression with me. Knowledgable and able captain with comfortable boat wandering about in spectacular scenery combines to make a very memorable excursion.

This nature and wildlife excursion, was an experience that i will treasure in my memory for as long as I live, and my 9 year old daughter was there to experience and enjoy the same. We were able to see a Momma Orca and her two sons just running in there natural habitat, as it was intended to be for thousands of years. Garry was not only Captain but a wonderful and witty host. Kept us on our toes as he enlightened us with his years of knowledge and experience. I would highly recommend for everyone to experience the wonder of nature under the guidance of an “Aboriginal Journeys: Wildlife Viewing and Adventure Tours”. From start to finish the customer service was great, from booking online to the actual tour. Garry was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and respectful of the animals and nature. What a brilliant excursion, Garry has more information and experience than you can possibly remember! We were extremely lucky and saw seals, bears, eagles, dolphins, porpoise and the unforgettable orcas. I can not recommend this tour enough. Thank you Garry!!!! We travelled with an 82 year old disabled passenger and was more than taken care of.

Gary saved our Vancouver Island trip by allowing us to board his tour last minute, when our originally planned tour got cancelled. He is very knowledgeable and great fun on board. We got to go out on a surprisingly sunny day. We were blessed to see porpoises, dolphins, sea lion and even two whales! Thank you so much Gary!

Garry is an experienced professional. He spent time getting to know everyone. He educated us on the nearby islands and oceanic life. He loves and is respectful of the animal lives.

We had a wonderful day on Gary’s boat tour and saw lots of different animals, including a pod of orcas, sea lions, seals, porpoise, dolphins. The views were phenomenal all day. Gary was very knowledgeable on all the different animals and waterways. Would highly recommend this tour!

Gary was great, and we’d definitely go out with him again if we return to the area. He has great knowledge and respect for the animals. The 5 hour tour had a total of 10 paying passengers (my family was 8 of them) and it felt like a very personal experience.

You can feel that he does this job with all his heart and soul. He talks respectfully about nature and the animals and also gives them enough space while give us guests the opportunity to watch. Groups are small so you have a more personal experience. I would highly recommend the trip. Of course, sights are not guaranteed, but what is with animals 🙂

We made the excursion on July the 26th and was great. We saw orcas and humpbacks. Garry was very friendly and he know the area very well. The boat was comfortable and safe. Thanks Garry for the remarkable experience, you are based in a really beautiful part of this world.

Our family went out on Mothers Day and we were thrilled with the experience! We saw a family of Orcas, cormorants and a variety of seals/sea lions. Our guide Gary was extremely knowledgeable and we learned some new things from him! I highly recommend this local guide

We went on two Campbell River tours with Garry, he was very knowledgeable. He predicted animal viewing opportunities very accurately and managed to tick all our Wildlife boxes. (Humpbacks, Bald Eagles, Orca’s, Sea Lions, Seals, Black Bears and more) He also knew lots around the surrounding lands and the traditional ancestors, as well as having many insightful and interesting personal anecdotes to share. All in all, I would definitely recommend his trip, it was a highlight of our vacation.
